I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The view from the rooms was unbeatable, even better than the one from the Fortress. The cleanliness of the hotel was quite excellent, and I was really surprised by the free breakfast. The location was perfect, right in the old town centre and up on top of the hill. Transportation was convenient, with the museum nearby and easy access to the rest of the city.

The restaurant inside an old castle wall offers amazing views and delicious authentic Austrian dishes. The cute dining area serves a great breakfast from 9:00. The bus line 1 takes you near the hotel, with a scenic journey through a tunnel. The location provides lovely walks along the ridgeline and through a nature reserve. There are 223 stairs to climb, but it's worth it for the wonderful location.

The views were amazing, worth the trek, was like family at breakfast, clean bathroom, fantastic check-in system.

The rooms were clean and the hostel was quiet. It was also very affordable at only 20 euros a night. The picnic tables outside were a nice touch to enjoy the fine city views.

This hotel is located away from the "busy" center, on top of a small mountain overlooking the city. It is also very close to the city center, making it convenient for exploring. The rooms have a stunning view of Salzburg, and the breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace with the same breathtaking view. The hotel offers a unique experience and has a charming cottage-like atmosphere.
Communication with the staff seems to be a challenge, especially for late arrivals.

The Stadtalm Naturfreundehaus offers great value for money, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel, from the location literally in the forest of Mönchsberg to the historic fortress on the mountain. The view from the restaurant is absolutely amazing, providing a spectacular vista of the entire town.
No major issues were found. All was well at this hotel.
